Four Griffin Generations

Yesterday was a busy day and a great day to spend the afternoon with the entire Griffin clan. Almost a year ago we were photographing Jessica and Corey’s wedding and yesterday we had the pleasure of photographing four Griffin generations. It was a real treat to see the two new additions to the Griffin family, these cute cousins are destined to be best of friends. Here is a sneak peek into the marathon photoshoot that included, 2 infants (need I say more), 3 great-grandparents, 2 grandparents, 2 new moms and 2 new dads!!!!
A truly beautiful family, inside and out!
Portas Arabians

As part of our newborn package to track the 6 month life and times of beautiful baby Kadence we met out at the Portas Arabian farm. It was the perfect day for pictures, with a beautiful family and a stunning surrounding. Everywhere we looked there was an opportunity waiting to be captured. From a restored antique truck, to sweeping fence lines and a piece of old rusted farm machinery, this was a feast for the eyes. The shutter got a work out this day and the many pictures are just divine. Editing these photos was dreamy – there were so many good ones to choose from. Sweet, little Kadence, you break my heart every time. I’m sure we’ll be back to see you soon… I know how much your dad LOVES getting his picture taken.

Yes, this trip to Calgary was busy. In addition to the 90th birthday and the riveting product photography we also fit in a portrait session. We had a fabulous time capturing images of our good friends Paula, Isabelle and Jake (the handsome black lab). The day was perfect for photography – nice and overcast making all of the colours come alive. We were able to get some fabulous photos. Of course, when your subjects radiate personality combined with natural beauty – it sure does make getting a great picture easier. Good thing for the rapid fire D700 we were able to get a few pictures of Jake where it looked like he was actually sitting still. (Note –to self, hide ALL balls before going outside to photograph dogs!)
History in the making

Recently we took a road trip to Calgary, where we had an extraordinary time. We were fortunate enough to capture the 90th birthday of the fabulous Olive Collins. It was a great time for the entire Collins clan to get together and celebrate Olive’s 90th birthday. Of course while we were there we made sure to document the entire event, including a photo of 4 generations of Collins, from 90 years to less than 9 months. It was history in the making and we were so glad to document and be a part of it. Another fabulous Collins event, we’re starting to feel like part of the family.
